Lilac Breasted Roller Part 1

It’s August and it’s time for a new Technique Tuesday project!

This month The All A-Board Artists are looking to South Africa for their inspiration and we will be tackling animal textures, desert landscapes and rhinoceros….so much to enjoy. Not heard of The AABA before? It’s my online art group where we share knowledge, techniques and make friends across the world.

If you are a regular TT follower, you will know that I try, wherever possible to link everything together as it not only makes for lovely cohesive lesson planning but it stops my head from spinning off my neck. Therefore when I was doing my geographical research for the subject, I came across this wonderful photograph by David Clode on Unsplash:

You can find it HERE

And so, this was the broadcast from today where you will hear me talk more about it and keep on scrolling if you would like all of the easy links to the materials I talked about.

Here are the materials I used and don’t forget, any purchases you make from these links help me to keep these TT broadcasts free to all:
Light Green Pastelmat paper
Pan Pastels
Sofft Applicators
Stabilo Pastel Pencils

There will be other things that I will be recommending along the way so if you are unsure if they are suitable then pop along to the live broadcast and ask away, I’m always happy to help you to use what you already own.
Until next week, Ali
