Technique Tuesday Takeover for DAW #3

Just in case you haven’t heard a thing about what I have been up to recently, let me fill you in and if you have heard all this several times over then disappear to put the kettle on while I catch everyone up.

I’m currently one of over 300 artists taking part in Dorset Art Weeks and as you can imagine, it’s a pretty big deal. I spend all year preparing for it, creating work and doing all the adminny things that are necessary to try to make it a success. Last year it became obvious that I had followers and clients scattered around the world who couldn’t all make it in person and so I pledged to make every little part of it available online too. This requires a huge chunk of my time and resources but it pays back tenfold as it means that I get to chat with lovely people like you.

We started on the 10th with a live broadcast and I have been using my blogs, broadcasts and social media daily so if you would like to catch up, you are welcome to read previous posts to this one on the website and you will see everything that I have been up to.

Every day I have been setting a theme, a subject for us to chat about and to be able to highlight in my work and so today it is the turn of spider webs. While I myself am not the biggest fan of spiders themselves, I can’t help but be spellbound at the architecture of a web and the strength they hold.

As a tutor, each week I broadcast a live demo called ‘Technique Tuesday’ which you can usually find on my sister website www.learningtopaint.co.uk but for the duration of DAW, it’s bigger and better than ever before.
Not only will you get to see how I paint but the Technique Tuesday broadcasts are being supported by my fabulous friends over at The SAA. The SAA are the UK’s leading art hub where you can find support, materials and inspiration no matter what your experience level - you can learn more about what they do by watching the broadcast or scroll down to the bottom of this blog post to enjoy and incredible joining offer.

Today, I broadcast live both on their social media platform and on mine but you lucky folks can watch it right here via YouTube catch up:
