Dorset Art Weeks has arrived!

Below you will find a copy of the blog that was released earlier today over on my sister website: https://alisoncboard.co.uk/ and it’s there that I will be blogging every day until the 29th May, I hope you can join me, Ali

Deep breath everyone and here we go…
It’s Dorset Art Weeks 2022 and a new programme of exciting events awaits us all. It’s always such a privilege to take part and I’m pretty sure that this will be my seventh time, which, when you consider it’s a biannual event, isn’t too shabby really.

So, what can you expect from this blog and the interactive version of DAW 2022? I have set a theme for each day leading up to the start of the event (14th May) and for every day that it is running, these themes are collected from the inspiration that drives my work and you can expect to see behind the scenes, new paintings, special gifts and like today, a demonstration of my new work.

I don’t think it is unfair to say that I am better known for the tuition I give than the paintings I create but this blog will share a much more rounded view of what I do and how I do it, plus give you the opportunity to purchase from wherever you are in the world so you don’t have to miss out.

As a tutor, each week I broadcast a live demo called ‘Technique Tuesday’ which you can usually find on my sister website www.learningtopaint.co.uk but for the duration of DAW, it’s bigger and better than ever before.
Not only will you get to see how I paint but the Technique Tuesday broadcasts are being supported by my fabulous friends over at The SAA. The SAA are the UK’s leading art hub where you can find support, materials and inspiration no matter what your experience level - you learn more about what they do by watching the broadcast or scroll down to the bottom of this blog post to enjoy and incredible joining offer.

Today, I broadcast live both on their social media platform and on mine but you lucky folks can watch it right here via YouTube catch up:
