What is Gesso and how can I make it work for me?
It’s quite a while since I have talked about gesso so I’m looking forward to this TT, thank you for joining me. Coincidentally, I’ve just been working on a secret project and used it in that so my knowledge is as up to speed as it can be. Any medium is fair game for me, particularly if it interferes with my watercolours and makes them do unpredictable things.
I’m hoping that there’s a pot of gesso lurking in the back of your cupboard(s) somewhere and you’ll think to yourself that it will be fun to experiment with, if mixed media is something you regularly do then it’s worth the investment but if not, let me take you through some different information and then you can bank it for a future project.
Keep the questions coming in and do tune in to the chat on YouTube either live or archived afterwards so you can see what the Learning to Paint community was discussing. There’s a poll over on my social media channels asking what you would like answered in 2025, you can find it HERE in my Facebook group (you may want to join) so do feel free to get involved and have your say, I look forward to reading the suggestions.
After the broadcast has gone live you will be able to watch it back below, do leave me a question in the comments either here or on YouTube and I will look forward to you all joining in, in the future, Ali
