Printmaking Project Part 6

My holidays are coming!!
Sorry, did I shout that? Yes, Beez and I are off to Wales for a rest…and by rest, I mean walking miles with the dogs and clearing our heads. He starts his new job (shameless plug here: www.footpropertymaintenance.co.uk ) when we return and I have Dorset Art Weeks tapping very firmly on the window so, with a new collection of work and a virtual event to organise on top of everything else, it seemed a good idea to disappear for a few days and get ourselves mentally fit.

I’m sure you will be heartily sick of hearing me talk about DAW by the time it arrives but there is always someone who says to me ‘oh were you open?’ and I feel that the hours of marketing have failed abysmally. The same as last year, I will be opening the studio online too and broadcasting/blogging/demonstrating my way through the event with lots of interactive things that you can enjoy no matter where you are in the universe.

There’s also going to be some amazing support from a couple of companies that I work with, more about that nearer the time…

So while I have your attention, I have made a decision regarding Technique Tuesday, from the 3rd of May, when I will be back from my hols, it is going to change to the new time of 09:00 (UK Time). This is partly due to DAW but also I know what I have coming in September and it will help enormously by shifting it a little bit for a new timetable that you will hear more about later on in the year.

So the moral of the story is, check all the listings to see what’s coming up or ask in my lovely Learning to Paint group over on Facebook as they are an awesome bunch and are always very happy to point you in the right direction. You can find the group here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/learningtopaintwithacb

On to today, it’s a joining the dots kind of day as trying to get everything sewn up before my hols and therefore, our very exciting foray into drypoint printmaking needed to be completed:

I have LOVED this project, so much fun and pushed my skills that little bit further forwards which is always a grand idea and so it’s onwards to the DAW broadcasts, I hope to see you there.

Ooo I nearly forgot, here is the link to the watercolour pencils I used today: https://tidd.ly/3rMf5Jw

Take lots of care lovely people, I’m off to get sand between my toes, Ali
