Tips and Techniques: April
Welcome to your tips and tricks blog for April, I hope that you are enjoying this series and that it helps you with any creative projects that you may be working on.
Every month I share a short, pre-recorded video for you that shares a nugget of information that I hope helps with products, techniques or creativity and this month I have uploaded a quick (actually it’s about thirty minutes!) sketchbook experiment based on my theme of the month ‘Wing & Feather’
Please note, there is no audio for this video, just lovely relaxing music for you to enjoy.
Colour of the month for April is Jane’s Grey. I use it for the darks in the video and while it might be perceived as a convenience colour as it contains two pigments that you may already have in your palette, I have always found it a stunning mix and exceptionally useful in my animal portraits.
If you would like to treat yourself to a tube, you can find it over at The SAA, here is a little link for you: https://tidd.ly/3ALXEvM
Have a wonderful time with all of your experiments this month and don’t forget Technique Tuesday will return on the 9th of May when I will be sharing a project from our theme for the month ‘Contemporary Portraits’.
