Technique Tuesday for May

Good morning everyone, wherever you are in the world, thanks for joining me for an experimental Technique Tuesday!

This month, I had to do something that I don’t ordinarily allow myself to do for TT and that’s pre-record it. Sometimes, it’s just not possible for me to get everything in my diary and I decided, before Dorset Art Weeks starts, to give myself a very short break. So as you read this, if you are reading it on or around the original broadcast, I’ll be bombing up and down the UK, attending gigs by my favourite beloved band Elbow.

This did allow me however to cram even more than I usually do into a demo and so I hope that you enjoy it. It’s a lovely and fairly relaxed look at how to paint wheat in line with my theme of the month incorporating a few traditional watercolour skills and using Neocolour II water soluble crayons, a medium that I have been enjoying ever since I treated myself to a set last year.

So grab your materials, unleash your creativity, and let's embark on exciting artistic discoveries, don’t forget to leave me a comment either here or on YouTube and if you share your work on social media, please include the tag @aliboardartist.

See you again very soon, I’ll be back with another TT on the 4th of June, Ali.

The equipment Ali will use in her demo:

In previous Technique Tuesdays, Ali has provided affiliate links to the equipment she uses, she would receive a very small amount of money if you purchased via these links but she has now decided to do something a little different. You will still find all of the equipment listed below but now, if you have enjoyed Ali’s tutorial and would like to make sure that they stay free in the future (they take approximately six hours to prepare and deliver), then you are very welcome to ‘Buy her a Coffee’ or as we prefer to say ‘Buy the hens some corn’. The button below will take your donation through to our checkout system BUT if you are on a tight budget, please keep your money for more important things, we are, after all, a community where we look out for each other and we want you to enjoy our content.
